Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

POSITION SCOPE

• Works with Photoshop, Quark, and Illustrator to prepare advertising pieces to be ready for distribution ensuring that all designs represent the authenticity of the Center.
• Checks all printed material for quality assurance before final printing.
• Produces materials (i.e., image CD’s, banners, handouts, publicly accessible designs) for the sales team and special events for promotion of the Center.
• Works with photographers to ensure that the images reflect authentic Polynesia.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by one of the marketing managers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of graphic design techniques, tools, equipment, and materials.

• Must be multi-task oriented and be able to manage multiple jobs at one time.

• Must have a full range of body movement and be able to lift 20 – 30 lbs.

• Must be knowledgeable about the Center and the cultures it represents.

• Must be knowledgeable in different formats for print production

• Must be proficient in the English language in both oral and written communication.

• Should have at least one year of working experience in Graphics Design, Sales, or Marketing related fields.

Must attach resume, current semester class schedule (weekly view) and have ready a copy of your Portfolio Design.
 

Base Rate Per Hour

$16.00

Work Schedule
19 hours; M-F

Approximate starting hourly rate:

$14.00 - $16.00

The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
