Role Summary
The Graphic Designer creates and executes on-brand creative for all channels, adapting messages for each platform. The role develops deliverables for social, email, digital, in-store, and internal initiatives while collaborating cross-functionally to maintain consistent Indigo brand communication.
Responsibilities
- Translate campaign concepts into channel-specific layouts optimizing for format, placement, motion, and performance.
- Ideate and execute on-brand design for campaigns and initiatives across in-store, web, email, social, and internal communications.
- Develop integrated, production-ready artwork for digital and print mediums.
- Design high-impact social-first creative for organic and paid media.
- Contribute to presentations and concept development as needed.
- Balance multiple projects and workstreams, delivering strong design output at high volume.
- Ensure creative is on-brand while incorporating contemporary references and fresh perspectives.
- Advocate for the customer in all design decisions.
- Identify and resolve areas for improvement in creative processes.
- Collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Take constructive feedback and translate it into design iterations.
- Model Indigo’s beliefs, celebrate diversity, and nurture continual learning.
- Embrace and influence organizational change.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in graphic design or design-related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an agency or in-house creative shop.
- Experience supporting national brands is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Advanced use of Figma.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms.
- Excellent conceptual, visualization, and design skills.
- Strong understanding of graphic design, typography, and brand development.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for retail design.
- Dynamic, team-oriented, with openness to constructive criticism.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance style, quality, deadlines, and resources.
- Ability to create storytelling via social media.
- Portfolio required (link or file upload).
