Product Designer

Role Summary

The Product Designer will design user interfaces and conduct user experience research as part of the Product Development team, creating efficient, effective, and attractive experiences within Emburse's product suite.

Responsibilities

• Research, prototype, and design user experiences based on product requirements
• Produce design mock-ups, prototypes, assets, and documentation
• Conceptualize and design experiences across multiple digital touchpoints
• Participate in design feedback and critiques
• Translate and deliver designs for engineering
• Collaborate with user researchers to measure efficacy of design solutions
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to troubleshoot and explore design alternatives
• Present and articulate design decisions to design leads and product owners

Qualifications

• 1-3 years relevant work experience
• High-level proficiency in visual design (layout, color, typography, interaction)
• Ability to present and articulate design decisions, and incorporate feedback
• Proficiency with industry standard UI design and prototyping tools
• Ability to execute work assignments using established design processes
• Seek to understand usability impact of design solutions
• Ability to follow defined design guidelines and best practices
• Empathy with users
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects
