Role Summary

The Product Designer will contribute to the strategic overhaul of internal digital product experiences, focusing on B2B tools and platforms for artists, songwriters, producers, and business teams. The role emphasizes simplifying complex workflows and delivering consumer-grade, user-centered digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Design at global scale for mission-critical products powering the WMG business
  • Drive user research studies, usability testing, and other user-centered design methodologies
  • Develop understanding of user goals, workflows, and pain points through research and discovery
  • Design user-centered experiences balancing user, business, and technical needs
  • Translate research findings into actionable design insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and content designers
  • Ensure design solutions meet accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Participate in design critiques and stakeholder reviews
  • Stay current on trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design and UX
  • Help shape the culture, engagement, and processes of the WMG User Experience team
  • Learn from and collaborate with music and tech industry professionals
  • Explore use of AI to enhance research synthesis and prototyping

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or similar roles
  • Strong portfolio showcasing intuitive and impactful B2B product designs
  • Track record of bringing consumer sensibility to complex data-intensive B2B experiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with a broad array of design skills including design thinking and strategy
  • Ability to lead workshops for team and stakeholder alignment
  • Passion for design systems and accessibility
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and knowledge of other major design and AI prototyping tools
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, user research, and testing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback
