Role Summary
The Product Designer will create user-centred and visually appealing designs for digital banking products, collaborate with stakeholders, conduct user research, and drive continuous improvement for Private bank and wealth customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability tests to understand customer needs and integrate feedback
- Collaborate with product managers and developers
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for digital banking platforms
- Maintain visually appealing and consistent user interfaces aligned with the bank's brand
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for product visualization and testing
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and guidelines
- Monitor industry trends and design best practices to improve product quality
- Supervise and guide team members where applicable
- Partner with other functions and business areas
- Take responsibility for team operational processing and activities
- Embed new policies and procedures as required
- Advise and influence decision making within area of expertise
- Manage risk and strengthen controls
- Build understanding of how sub-function integrates with the broader organization
- Resolve problems using technical experience and precedents
- Communicate complex information and act as a stakeholder contact point
Qualifications
- Experience with end-to-end design (Discovery to Delivery)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
- Prototyping abilities
- UI design and design systems experience
- In-depth technical knowledge and area expertise
- Understanding of design principles and user experience concepts
- Ability to guide and supervise team members (leadership roles)
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology skills
