Salesforce Solution Designer (Assistant Vice President)

Role Summary

The Salesforce Solution Designer will design, develop, and improve software, focusing on scalable, innovative Salesforce solutions. The role involves shaping enterprise-grade solutions across Sales and Service platforms, defining architecture, and driving best practice design and digital transformation at Barclays.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions using industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements and strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Implement effective unit testing for code reliability.
• Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and manage operational effectiveness.
• Lead a team or collaborative assignments, guide team members, and identify new project directions.
• Consult on complex issues and support escalated issues.
• Identify and mitigate risk, develop new policies or procedures, and strengthen controls.
• Communicate complex or sensitive information and influence stakeholders.
• Foster technical excellence and stay informed of industry technology trends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing end-to-end Salesforce solutions within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning components, integrations, and workflow/flow automation.
• Ability to collaborate across functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with secure coding and risk management.
