Role Summary
The Senior Designer, Digital User Experience manages and executes digital design tasks to support Marriott’s Cobrand Card products. The role partners with various stakeholders to deliver best-in-class digital solutions aligned with brand standards, critical campaign timelines, and continual improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute digital design tasks for Cobrand Card products
- Partner with Director, UX, designers, copywriters, product management, and technology teams
- Produce high-quality designs and maintain workflow to meet deadlines
- Guide internal and external designers for brand alignment
- Contribute innovative concepts for continual improvement
- Produce designs, motion specs, prototypes, and presentations as needed
- Reference Marriott design systems for patterns and styles
- Participate in user acceptance testing for live digital products
- Apply industry trends and strategic opportunities for competitive advantages
- Ground design solutions in research and data
- Collaborate across UX disciplines (IA, Design System, User Research, Copywriting)
- Provide accurate time estimates for project plans
- Manage multiple assignments and communicate project status proactively
- Accept and provide professional critique
- Work independently, escalate issues as needed
- Develop relationships with other teams
- Present work with clarity and confidence
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience in digital product design
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
- Experience in user-centric design
- Strong understanding of visual design principles
- Proficient in usability and transactional design best practices
- Experience with major, large-scale global digital apps or websites
- Proven experience delivering high quality digital design from concept to final deliverables
- Familiarity with branding and brand concepts
- Skilled at high-volume, high-stakes design production
- Clear, professional, and effective communication with stakeholders
- Expertise in UX best practices and business objectives
- Champion conversion techniques while balancing user experience
- Proactive task management and prioritization
- Well-organized workflow for assets, documentation, and timelines
- Promotes UX best practices from diverse disciplines
- Works effectively within a design system
- Strong image selection skills
- Self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to iterate designs based on feedback and usability testing
- Nice to Have: Experience with global digital products in hospitality, travel, or finance
- Nice to Have: Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Nice to Have: Experience with Agile/SAFE and Jira
