Role Summary

The Senior Designer works with the sales team to develop innovative space and product solutions, managing complex projects and applying expert knowledge in interior design and exclusive brands to meet client business needs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales team to define client requirements and project goals
Develop design solutions including space plans, finish palettes, furniture specs, and installation drawings
Ensure design deliverables meet code compliance and quality standards
Perform field measurements and product inventories
Research ancillary products
Create visual presentations and lead client design sessions for approvals
Manage multiple projects valued at $5M-$8M, meeting deadlines and financial goals
Provide exceptional client service and creative, business-focused solutions
Apply deep knowledge of Herman Miller/Knoll systems and ancillary products
Coordinate with vendors for product info, pricing, and custom requirements
Review and revise design documentation for changes
Mentor team members and contribute to process improvements
Communicate design concepts effectively to clients, A+D partners, and internal teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from accredited institution
Minimum 8 years of dealer design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and CET; strong working knowledge of CAP
Solid understanding of interior design theory
In-depth knowledge of Herman Miller and Knoll systems and seating
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication skills with a consultative approach
Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and quality
