Role Summary
The Senior Designer will lead all phases of interior projects, establish design vision, manage project teams, and engage extensively with clients to deliver high-performance environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop overall design for projects
- Direct staff to complete design and technical drawings
- Review design and technical drawings from junior designers
- Review engineering drawings for compliance with design solution
- Resolve inconsistencies in drawings with technical staff
- Research and select fixtures and finishes
- Obtain client approval and integrate selections into design
- Produce, review, and finalize space plans
- Finalize details on projects
- Develop and deliver design and furniture packages
- Manage overall design budget
- Manage and oversee Designers
- Provide feedback on work product
Qualifications
- Graduate of architecture or design school (equivalent experience may be substituted)
- 8+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projects
- Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
- Extensive knowledge of space planning methodology
- Expert sketching and rendering skills
- Expert interior architecture detailing skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction documents and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
- Advanced Revit skills
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Extensive verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation and graphic communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead staff
- Working knowledge of budget preparation and ability to manage projects within budget
