Type: This role is a 3-month contract position, with potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs
HealthCentral is a health experience company at the intersection of media, community, and culture. We translate clinical expertise into human understanding, pairing trusted medical insight with lived experience to create content, connections, and experiences that resonate in the real world.
You know how to make things look right and feel even better. Design is how the brand shows up when no one is explaining it. You’ll help build a visual world people want to be part of.
Make decks that pop. The kind people screenshot, not skim for pitches, launches, and internal storytelling
Design across social, digital, experiential, product, and brand moments
Partner with writers, strategists, and producers to bring ideas to life
Create work that feels modern, cultural, and intentional
Develop assets that move across digital and print formats seamlessly
Help build and evolve our visual identity
Strong visual taste. You know what’s good and what’s not
Designing on brand. You understand identity systems and how to push them
Layout, typography, color, and composition that feels considered
Designing for digital-first and social-first environments
Translating ideas into visuals that land
Working fast without lowering the bar
You’ve worked in creative studios, agencies, or in-house teams
You have a portfolio that shows range but also a clear point of view
You’re inspired by culture, not just design trends
You care about the details most people miss
You want to build something, not just contribute to it
You stay curious. New tools, new tech, new ways of making
You have motion or animation experience
You think beyond screen into experiences and IRL
You’ve built brands with real community and cultural relevance
Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Experience with After Effects and Premiere a plus
Figma – Working knowledge to iterate within design files and create new assets leveraging established libraries and components
Microsoft Office 365 – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
